Bean stew with kohlrabi leaves and white bread

Did you know that kohlrabi leaves are very healthy? They are even healthier than the tuber itself.

Preparation

  1. Soak the beans overnight and cook until soft the next day.
  2. Cut the kohlrabi leaves into strips with stems.
  3. Chop the onion and garlic clove.
  4. Grate the tomatoes finely.
  5. Fry the onion and garlic lightly.
  6. Add the kohlrabi leaves and pour water and simmer until soft.
  7. Add the beans and simmer for about 10 more minutes.
  8. Season with salt and lemon juice.
  9. Put the bean stew in soup plates and always place a slice of white bread in the middle and greet with some of the liquid.
